GMM Chooses Dal Prete for Water Clarification in Its New Showroom
In the stone processing industry, the quality of the water used during cutting, polishing, and finishing directly affects machine performance and the results of demonstrations. For this reason, GMM Spa, a world leader in the production of bridge cutters, machining centers, edge polishers, and waterjet systems, has chosen Dal Prete to manage water recycling and clarification in the company’s new showroom in Gravellona Toce.
The project was launched at a particularly significant moment for GMM, which in 2023 celebrated its 30th anniversary with the inauguration of a new demonstration space adjacent to its main production facility. The showroom was designed to showcase the company’s machines and allow visiting customers to observe various stone cutting and polishing solutions firsthand during tests and operational demonstrations.
A showroom designed to showcase machines in operation
The new GMM showroom was not conceived as a simple exhibition space, but as a technical environment where machines could operate under real-world conditions. This meant that every installed system had to be supported by an efficient, stable water cycle capable of delivering high-quality treated water.
For a machinery manufacturer, a live demonstration is a decisive moment. Following a meeting between Luigi Guazzoni, President of GMM, and Adriano Dal Prete, owner of Dal Prete, the company recognized Dal Prete as a partner specializing in water treatment for the stone industry.
The chosen solution: Super Compact 2.1
For the new showroom, Dal Prete recommended installing the Super Compact 2.1 model, a solution designed to ensure water clarification and sludge dewatering even in settings where space is limited or production has very specific requirements.
Super Compact 2.1 is the smallest model in the Dal Prete range in terms of water clarification and sludge treatment capacity, yet it retains one of the company’s most important advantages: automatic sludge management via a filter press. With a clarification capacity of 150 liters per minute, it is an extremely compact yet comprehensive solution, ideal for those seeking to optimize water recycling without sacrificing automation.
In the case of the GMM showroom, this feature is particularly important. The space must serve multiple machines but does not have the same production requirements as a traditional stone workshop. Therefore, a system is needed that is proportionate, efficient, and capable of ensuring a constant supply of clean water during demonstrations, without adding complexity to daily operations.
